Founder of Marcotte Physical Therapy

Daniel
Marcotte began his physical therapy career at Woonsocket Hospital
in 1981. In 1992, he co-founded Slatersville Physical Therapy
in North Smithfield, where he practiced and led the clinic until
2003. He later served as a hospital rehabilitation director, gaining
valuable leadership experience. However, his true passion was
always serving the community and working directly with patients.
That passion led Dan to open Marcotte Physical Therapy in January
of 2012. As a clinician, Dan has always believed in treating the
whole personfocusing on overall health and the entire body,
not just an isolated condition. To him, patients were never numbers
for insurance or profit; they were people deserving of individualized,
compassionate care. He created his clinic with the mission of
doing what is right and necessary for each patient, to the best
of his ability.
Dan instilled these values in every employee he hired. He championed
one-on-one patient care, built a team of kind and caring support
staff, and operated the clinic with the belief that every team
member plays an essential role. This philosophy is reflected in
the way the clinic functionspatients see a team that works
seamlessly together, united by mutual respect and shared purpose.
Many staff members have remained with the clinic for years, a
testament to the culture Dan created.
Dan is an integral part of who we are as clinicians and support
staff. As Marcotte Physical and Occupational Therapy continues
to grow, we will always honor his legacy by treating patients
with heart and skill, staying current in our field, and working
together as a teamwith one another and with our patients.
